Vintage 10k Enamel "Fortiter et Recte" Wheel Charm

I love this little charm for MANY reasons. While the charm is actually from the Chapin School in NYC (an all girls school), it combines two really cool historical elements. The spiked wheel is the symbol of St. Catherine of Alexandria, patron saint of philosophers. It represents her martyrdom and resilience. The motto "Fortiter et Recte" is Latin for "boldly and rightly", a phrase with Celtic origin, which combines physical and moral courage. Whoever thought of this logo is righteous as hell and wants every girl who walks through Chapin to feel the same and that is pretty damn cool and I’d throw this in my jumble in a heartbeat.
